Wesley United Methodist Church is excited to welcome Kyung-Sook (Sue) Lee as our new pastor! She grew up in Seoul, South Korea. Pastor Sue is married to Chang-Bum (Chris) Park, and they have two children, Min-Young and Wesley.
Education — Rev. Sue Lee, D.Min.
She graduated from Ewha Women’s University, Seoul, South Korea in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science. In 1999, she received her Master of Divinity M.Div.) from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary, Iowa. She completed ACTS (Association of Chicago Theological Schools) Doctor of Ministry (D. Min.) in Preaching in May, 2009.
She has served in the Wisconsin conference of the United Methodist Church since 1998 and was ordained as an elder in full connection in 2007. She comes to us from Evansville United Methodist Church (WI), where she was appointed in 2009.
Ministry focus for Rev. Sue Lee, D.Min.
The focus of Pastor Sue’s ministry comes from her favorite hymn, “I Love to Tell the Story.” She loves to tell the story of “unseen things above, of Jesus and His glory; of Jesus and His love.”
Rev. Sue Lee, D.Min. has been appointed to serve Wesley United Methodist Church in Wausau starting July 1, 2015 and initial office hours starting July 7. Her first service will be July 12. We welcome her to Wesley and look forward to an amazing future as she leads our congregation forward!
